Pens VS. Habs Game 6: Giving her up

The Pens gave up the game Monday night. Cammellari scored a wrister in the net 1:13 into the first period. We were all worried. Flower appeared to be sleeping. Then, to our joy a scuffle went around Halak and Sidney batted the puck out of the air and into the net. Finally, our boy scores! End of the first period.

In the second period, Lapierre, of the Habs, got a penalty. The Pens shot the puck at Halak again and again, but they get pinking of the post. Then, Hamrlik of the Habs, got a penalty and this time, Tanger shot one home.

We thought we'd win the game for sure, but the momentum went in the Canadians favor. Then, Mike Cammellari and Jorslav Spacek  scored within three minutes of each other. We were now down a goal.

Our boys hammered and hammered Halak, but he withstood the blows.

At the start of the third period, we still believe we had a chance. Our boys are notorious for coming back from behind. However, Maxim Lapierre scored making the deficit 4-2. Our boys battled until the buzzer. Gonchar shot a puck that hit off of Billy G into the net with 2:04 left in the period. 

Altogether, our boys played well. However, our boys didn't hit enough or stir the pot enough. I hope they realize that and make up for it tonight.
